Guitarist David Fiuczynski graduated from New England Conservatory in 1989. In the past dozen years this New York-based, experimentally inclined musician has divided his time between more than a dozen projects of both long-time and short-span nature. In the recent past Fiuczynski’s main interest has rested with the critically lauded ensemble Screaming Headless Torsos; currently he is involved with the Arab-funk stylists, Black Cherry Acid Lab, and with Kif. Fiuczynski’s name can be spotted on tens of recordings by different cutting-edge musicians – John Zorn, Elliott Sharp, Ronald Shannon Jackson, Muhal Richard Abrams, Jazz Passengers, Hasidic New Wave et al. For two years running the Guitar Player magazine has pointed him out as a talent worth keeping an eye on.
