Jazz-wise,
Sax Show Band sails in the modern mainstream. The course was thus set from the very
beginning, in the summer of 1999, in Riga. Composed of well-seasoned jazzmen and -women of
Latvia, the Sax Show crew has stayed true to the original direction – their
repertoire consists of good ol’ jazz themes interspersed, to a good measure, with
self-penned pieces. With Neptune willing, the Sax Show at Jazzkaar 2000 is accompanied by
the Band’s congenial jazz-dance troupe.
