For the smallest music lovers, Jazzkaar offers a shadow theater performance. The family show “Over the Water” is about a girl who lives in a farmstead by the sea and waits for his brother to return from work on a long haul ship, and who keeps contact with the family via letters, with her mother and grandmother. Created thoroughly with tools of shadow theatre, the music-rich show talks about absence and longing, the power of imagination caused by and for the cure of separation, as well as water, that carries messages and people, who believe. Visual magic and soundscapes are melted into one with music from all over the world to jazz.
