The American pianist and composer Vijay Iyer with roots in India is valued as one of the most interesting-sounding musicians of today’s jazz. The Grammy nominee has claimed numerous top places in critics’ charts, and that before superstars like Chick Corea and Herbie Hancock. Iyer has released 20 albums under his name, and the last one, ‘Break Stuff’ by ECM, is a minimalistic masterpiece. His trio brings together wonderful musicians – Stephan Crump on the bass and drummer Tyshawn Sorey.
