A Jazzy Christmas
The Christmas Jazz Festival has a delightful program of concerts, in clubs and churches. Preformers come from as far as America and Spain.

The event will start on November 28th with Ingrid Lukas at the Town Hall. This singer-pianist brings together Estonian folk music with pop and jazz.

Andres Mustonen and the Crossover Quartet will perform December 3rd at Kumu and December 4th at Tartu`s St John`s Church. The quartet believes that Baroque and Viennese classics lack the energy of rock and jazz improvisation.
Norwegian pianist Bugge Wesseltoft brings Christmas cheer to the Kumu auditorium on December 2nd, performing his arrangements of well-known Christmas songs.

One of the festival`s noteworthy performers in American Britt Quentin, who has played both in group as well as a soloist. On December 6th, he will perform at the Russian Theatre with his ensemble as well as the vocal ensemble Estonian Voices.

Spanish singer and dancer Ana Salazar will pay tribute to Edith Piaf, combining her songs with flamenco. The concert will take place on December 8th at the Russian Cultural Centre.

One of the most famous European vocal groups, the French Voice Messenger will perform on December 9th at the Russian Cultural Centre. The program will feature new and classic jazz. Vocals will be accompanied by a French rhythm group.

Finnish saxophonist Mikko Innanen`s Gourmet Sextet, will play on December 2nd at NO99 Jazz Club. Their wonderful sound includes the bass and tuba.
