Uudised

7th Nõmme Jazz International Young Artists Competition is held on May 18th and 19th. The contestants compete in two categories: vocalists and saxophonists.

Nõmme Jazz Young Artists Competition is opened to vocalists and saxophonists between the age of 18 and 35. The participating young musicians of this year’s competition are from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland, Turkey, and for the first time from Sweden and Denmark.

The VII Young Jazz Artists Competiton is a ‘platform’ for young jazz artists to develop their professional career. At the final competition the participants are judged by an international jury, Estonian jury members are joined by jazz festival promoters from Finland, Latvia, Lithuania and Turkey.

The VII Young Jazz Artists Competition semi-final and final are held on the 18th and 19th of May as public concerts at Nõmme Cultural Centre and tickets are available at the venue before the concerts.

For Estonian participants the preliminary rounds were conducted in cooperation with Tallinn Georg Ots Music School.
