experimental, vocal, solo
Sofia Jernberg is a Swedish experimental singer, composer, improviser and performer, born in Ethiopia 1983. She grew up in Ethiopia, Vietnam and Sweden. Since 2011 she lives in Oslo, Norway. One of her deepest interests as a singer is to explore the “instrumental” possibilities of the voice. Her singing vocabulary includes sounds and techniques that often contradict a conventional singing style. She has dug deep into non verbal vocalizing, split tone singing, pitchless singing and distorted singing.

Saxophonist and composer Maria Faust is best known for her unique sound and from her large groups including Maria Faust Sacrum Facere, Machina, Maria Faust Jazz Catastrophe, and In the Beginning (with Kira Skov). Her musical language crisscrosses over different styles, influenced by Estonian folk music and modern classical music, while at the same time presenting a romantic wave of modern experimental jazz music. Over the years, the band included noted Chicago musicians such as Ken Vandermark, Jeb Bishop, Fred Lonberg-Holm, Dylan Posa, and Michael Colligan, while creating a body of music drawing equally from no-wave, death-metal, free-jazz, punk, and modern classical music. Weasel Walter is a current member of Cellular Chaos, Lydia Lunch´s Retrovirus, and has played with musicians such as Peter Evans, Nate Wooley, Evan Parker, and John Edwards, to name just a few.
Tim Dahl is an electric and double bass player, vocalist, keyboardist, and composer who has lived in New York City since 1998.
