The concert of LEIFUR JAMES (UK) supposed to take place on April 28 at 11 pm at Fotografiska Tallinn is cancelled and instead a concert of electronic duo MAARJA NUUT & NICOLAS STOCKER (Estonia-Switzerland) will take place at the same time.

If this change of artist is not suitable for the ticket holder the tickets can be returned or exchanged for a Jazzkaar gift voucher from April 1^st to April 15^th, 2022 by filling in the form here. The gift voucher is valid 1 year.

Jazzkaar is happy to welcome at this year’s festival the London-based multi-instrumentalist, experimental producer and composer Leifur James, performing music from his meditative, intricately layered second album, Angel in Disguise. Through a masterful blend of harmonic vocal, nuanced electronic soundscapes and vibrant drum patterns punctuated by bespoke visuals directed by Balázs Simon, Angel In Disguise explores the themes of love and loss, societal, personal and environmental. The very well received album earned the place as “Album Of The Month” by Future Music and a review from Crack Magazine stating that “Angel In Disguise certainly demonstrates James’ skill as a producer”.

Leifur James is experimental producer, composer and vocalist known for his esoteric avant-garde style. In 2018, his critically acclaimed debut album A Louder Silence was released under the label Night Time Stories, which was followed by a second album Angel In Disguise in June 2020. As a live performer, James has taken his fusion of jazz and experimental soundscapes to festivals including Bluedot, The Great Escape, We Out Here, Sundaze and Nova Batida.
