Beno\u00eet Delbecq\u2019s untraditional piano trio brings together real and archaic African influences with modern music and sounds. The rhythm responsibility lies in the hands of the leader of a well-known percussion ensemble from Congo – Tambours de Brazza – Emile Biayenda, who is supported by a capable double bass player Miles Perkins from Canada.<\/p>\n

Pianist Beno\u00eet Delbecq reached the moment of forming his own trio after working in various projects for 20 years. His speciality is using the piano also as a rhythm instrument, and organically linking it with the percussions. The improvisational sounds that are reached are hypnotic and hints of ethnic Pygmy music can be found in them.<\/p>\n

The percussionist Emile Biayenda is one of the best known and acknowledged musicians in the South African area and his captivating performances can be heard on the records of many African pop artists.
