Uudised

Maailma enim mõjutanud jazziplaadid on briti jazzikriitikute hinnangul Miles Davise „Kind of Blue”, John Coltrane´i „A Love Supreme” ja Ornette Colemani „The Shape of Jazz To Come”.

Briti jazziajakiri Jazzwise avaldas 100. numbri ilmumise puhul augusti väljaandes edetabeli „TOP 100 jazziplaati, mis on muutnud maailma”. Kriitikute sõnul on tegemist plaatidega, mis on nende hinnangul tõesti midagi muutnud jazzmuusikas, mitte lihtsalt järjekordse müügitopi või the best of´iga.
