Melodic vocals – if not at Christmas Jazz, then where else? Over the years, Jazzkaar has welcomed a wide range of vocal ensembles during the holiday season, from Estonian Voices and the Mare Väljataga Quintet to international stars such as New York Voices, Take 6, and Slixs. This year it is KVART’s turn to enchant audiences with a fresh winter-themed programme by Maarja Aarma, written especially for Christmas Jazz. The programme blends the roots of Estonian choral tradition with contemporary jazz and lyrics that reflect on the human experience.
