Guitarist and composer Johannes Laas presents his new album Passenger Seat at this year’s Jazzkaar. More acoustic than his previous work, the album is still guided by a belief in beauty and peace – a belief that feels grounded and convincing precisely because, alongside its caressing melodicism, it embraces contrast, tension, and experimentation, both in composed passages and in moments of improvisation.
