M-Group

Led by Mihhail Nikitin, the jazz, rock and fusion inspired quintet M-Group is characterised by blending different genres, exciting rhythm patterns alternating with dynamic solos and witty improvisations. M-Group’s music brings joy to all open-minded listeners who appreciate jazz and fusion.

Composer and drummer Mihhail Nikitin was born in Narva. He began his musical journey at the age of 8 at the Narva Music School and later studied at the Georg Ots Tallinn Music College and the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, specialising in jazz music. His greatest influences include drummers Jeff Hamilton, Adam Nussbaum, Brian Blade and Dave Weckl. Nikitin participates in various ensembles and has performed in television projects as well as concerts in Estonia, Sweden, Finland, Germany, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Ukraine.
