Robert Jürjendal, Iris Oja, Raun Juurikas

Guitarist and composer Robert Jürjendal celebrates his 60th birthday this year with several special projects, one of which audiences can enjoy at Christmas Jazz. Together with his close collaborators Iris Oja and Raun Juurikas, Jürjendal presents a programme in which musical imagination meets contemporary technology, giving rise to minimalist, ambient and even vocal-symphonic soundscapes. The programme features both original music and arrangements of works by the 19th-century composer, trickster and precursor of minimalism Erik Satie, alongside music by Norwegian composer Steinar Yggeseth.
