One of Sweden’s leading jazz bassists, Svante Söderqvist, joins forces with Estonia’s accordion virtuoso Tuulikki Bartosik to launch like a rocket into the crisp musical sky at Christmas Jazz, where introspective melodic stars collide with grooving comets. After releasing their joint album The Rocket in 2023 and touring with Söderqvist’s trio of the same name, this musical rocket now touches down at Christmas Jazz – its journey enriched by Bartosik’s accordion and electronics, which bring new shades to Söderqvist’s inquisitive compositions.
